I'm down with this. Who couldn't love a record titled "Live at Oil Can Harry's?"

This is one of my favorite things to riff around with on the guitar, though I've never heard an actual sung version of this song that sounds so much like "The Ants Go Marching":

Sergio Verdinelli's No Me Digas Loco is a gorgeous new album from the Buenos Aires jazz scene, highly recommended

I will actually check this out. Very fond memories of seeing Florencia Gonzalez (Argentinian big band) semi-regularly in Cambridge

Liking the first track a lot, kind of slow-going in the beginning but really springs to life about halfway through. Great piano/drum interplay.

I have! I think the sound is really good, especially considering that it wasn't recorded professionally. Give it a listen!

I listened to Sketches of Spain last night for the first time in years, and I've got to say I think that record is highly overrated. Doesn't do much that's interesting in the way of jazz, and Ennio Morricone is more balls-out fun if you're looking for cinematic spaghetti western vibes.

I'm by no stretch a Davis expert, so I'm not sure where this falls in the development of his oeuvre. But I think it kind of stinks.

@dougrr - Have you received Dave Brubeck's Time OutTakes? Still no delivery date in Canada. This is the type of hardship you will have to get used to when you head north.
