I listened to Sketches of Spain last night for the first time in years, and I've got to say I think that record is highly overrated. Doesn't do much that's interesting in the way of jazz, and Ennio Morricone is more balls-out fun if you're looking for cinematic spaghetti western vibes.
I'm by no stretch a Davis expert, so I'm not sure where this falls in the development of his oeuvre. But I think it kind of stinks.

@dougrr - Have you received Dave Brubeck's Time OutTakes? Still no delivery date in Canada. This is the type of hardship you will have to get used to when you head north.

i ordered the vinyl and it doesn't come out until early feb i think..i also ordered the disc that arrived in december but i mailed it straight up to vancouver for my FIL as a surprise...i sent it dec 27th and he hasn't mentioned yet if he has received it
