I bet he cried the first time he heard Sirens too.

Funny you mention that, though, as YouTube was flashing an ad for "Sirens" across the bottom of the screen the whole time I was watching the Diana Krall video. YouTube is pretty smart.

because they hate women.
Well they have no place in music so they bring it upon themselves.

Those bitches.
I'm not entirely comfortable with maintaining this type of humour so I'm going to post this version of Bill Evans playing "So What?" which I was enjoying on the weekend.

RM: when you think they love Bill Hicks, they pull out a Cosby out of you.
Cosby was a pretty misogynistic dude if you listen to his 60's recordings.
Just sayin'.

This is nice, I'm about halfway through right now. I like the rhythmic thing happening here.

The percussion and drums are great...Willie Bobo is actually a great, great drummer and percussionist, and his son played with cypress hill and the beastie boys too...but the team he made for this album with Osvaldo Martinez is remarkable.

Jim Hall, where've you been all my life? etc.
I had this exact same discovery about a year ago!!
His albums with Bill Evans are both great; also check out Sonny Rollins's 1962 album "The Bridge," which is where I discovered him. I was pleasantly surprised to hear Nels Cline dedicate a song to him on CD2 of "Initiate." Amazing guitarist from what I've heard.
And suffice it to say the Monk is great. I like that version of "Locomotive" a fair bit better than the earlier, frequently-viewed-as-superior version recorded for Presitge.
