Just came back from the show. Very good sound, arrived while Jony Greenwood was playing with an hindu band or something like that. Flying Lotus was a good opener. Nothing mind blowing though. Radiohead sounded awesome, tight as hell but very cold. The show from the In Rainbows tour felt life changing and this one was a ver very good show from them but it wasnt the same. Maybe it was the electronic versions of some songs? Sounded like remixes or something and kinda ruined them, specially Everything On Its Right Place....Most of the songs from the new album sound very dull live, with the exception of Daydreaming, so beautiful.
Setlist.
Daydreaming Ful Stop 15 Step Myxomatosis Lucky Nude Pyramid Song Everything in Its Right Place Let Down Bloom The Numbers My Iron Lung The Gloaming I Might Be Wrong Weird Fishes/Arpeggi Feral Bodysnatchers
Encore: Desert Island Disk Climbing Up the Walls There There Exit Music (for a Film) The National Anthem (With "Hunting Bears" outro) Idioteque

I don't know if anyone's talked about this, yet, but how do you suppose Phil feels with the second drummer being brought in? They've already all but cut him out of the band in Kid A.

I think it's a non-issue, because:
A) Phil is so much more than just a drummer. Radiohead are one of those bands where I make no assumptions about who composed which part; it's completely feasible that Phil has written a lot more than his drumming would lead me to believe.
B) Even within the confines of his primary instrument, he gets to be very creative, much more than most other pop/rock drummers/
C) I think that any modern musician who gets paid millions to play their instrument is more than happy to play the triangle if that's what the song requires.

Thom has joked on several occasions about Phil not playing "fast enough," which is probably tough to do considering his drum fills and patterns (don'tcha wish PJ had that problem?). A second drummer probably helps create a specific backbeat and rhythm for the song, while Phil can concentrate on other stuff. I'm sure he probably loves it. In fact, wouldn't be surprised if it was his idea.

While i was amazed on how tight they were, they had a lot of fuck ups during the show...specially the guitars. They got trough unnoticed because hey, the whole thing sounds chaotic sometimes.

this was pretty cool. big problem with a surge in the crowd and the front fences started giving way. the show stopped, and Thom serenaded the crowd with a solo "Gloaming" to calm everyone down to a standstill while security sorted it out

I love the show I posted. I remember Thom specifically mentioning in interviews how he dislikes a clean, pretty sound. I think they go for a kind of sloppy sound, specifically his voice. He tries to ugly it up.
