In a weird way, I think Staircase might be their darkest song. There’s just something so sad and empty about it.
Not True Love Waits? That song kills me

They have a ton of sad songs and TLW is up there. But there’s so hollow about Staircase. Makes me remember some of the darker times in my life in a very visceral way.

I'm not sure I've ever listened to this entire show, and i think have it somewhere.
Amazing sound and performance. My only "gripe" is they'd yet to add "Idioteque" to their setlists at this point.... I guess there'd be plenty performances of the song to come, however!
I listened to the first half of it today. love Dollars & Cents and Bishop's Robes.

The back half is phenomenal. Much love to the RMers who had a hand in this.

I can’t even imagine trying to decide on their darkest song, but you may have just given me an assignment for tonight
For me it’s always been No Surprises. Personal experiences/connections obviously have a lot to do with this question. For someone who can be so obtuse & silly, he really is a profound lyricist at times.

Berlin is good but it's an intimate warm-up show and has the calm atmosphere of a BBC concert.

Nijmegen is fantastic...too bad Airbag, Optimistic, and (I think) Just were performed but omitted from the broadcast.
