I guess because the first single for me really excited that this might be something Different. The more upbeat side of Radiohead. But is listening it's kind of just more of the same Radiohead from what we've heard the last 10 years or so

Get out of my head Strat, that's exactly how I feel about this.
It sounds great, of course. but I still feel bamboozled because of "You will never work on TV again"... I really wanted an album that sounded like that.

This, Pana-Vision and Thin Thing were my favorites on first listen…and the opening duo of The Same and The Opposite.

Dark album. I get what Strat is saying and kinda agree. But I feel like going there anyway. It’s high quality and dense. Gonna be a grower

Pretty underwhelmed by The Smile album after five listens. Thin Thing is the clear standout, and Television is solid. Everything else is fine, nothing overtly bad, but they’ve done it better before. Maybe I’ll come around on it next winter, like others have suggested.

i think i've listened to ALFAA at least once a day since its release. stereogum has posted videos of them playing a couple of new songs that were recorded but didn't make the album.

i'm interested in seeing if any of these songs were originally written for Radiohead but didn't fit another record.

Some of those guitar patches are the exact same as stuff on AMSP.

It does sound like Radiohead B-sides. But with a far better drummer! Had a couple of listens and like what I hear.

Looking forward to their Amsterdam show tonight!! :hooray:

i would definitely go see 1/3 of radiohead, aka the smile, if given the chance.

Does anyone know how the Smile pre-sale will work?

Going to the Denver show. It’ll be right after my wife and I get back from Mexico.

I’m excited for this.

Got a ticket to Brooklyn. I totally forgot about the sale. At 1:00, I think I grabbed the last non-Platinum ticket available.
