I thought for sure they would put "Live For Today" on there. Even though it was released in 1997, the lyrics are in the book that came with the O.G. limited edition of the album from 1996.

Yeah some odd choices here. Kind of hoping it just drives down the price of an OP.

weren't they originally intended for zither, though, hence their inclusion in that limited version art, then they just recycled those unused lyrics for live for today? one of the up songs (daysleeper i think?) was demoed in the new adventures period, too. maybe they're just saving them for that reissue, if it gets the anniversary treatment.

I never knew that. That's interesting.

Initial review:

Changes are simple but helpful: Some low end extension, some room carved out for the bass guitar, significant bump in the upper mids. Hats and tambourines and sibilants and certain guitar tracks are more pronounced.

Vinyl is dead quiet.

Overall effect seems to be the same record, but with a bit more energy to it, but I should do an A/B later this week.

How the West Was Won and E-Bow both feel a bit more open and airy.

REM albums are already some of the best sounding in my collection, don't see the need for this.

Unless you're really jonesing for a vinyl version, I don't think you need it either
