I'm listening to it now for the first time since it first came out. It's lovely, and way different than I had remembered it in my head. I am most struck by how much older Stipe sounds, even in the short time since "Collapse."

It's a cute little ditty but I'm not sure I find it as compelling as you chaps do. I think most of its charm is in its context.
There are elements that feel not only cheesy but almost funny. These elements are compounded by watching that Kirsten Dunst video.
I don't particularly love the videos. I'm just a sucker for orchestration and I love how it's used here. Stipe sounds older, more mature but it works for this song, and I just adore the "I can taste the ocean on your skin" line
That little guitar bit before the final chorus is tremendous, too.
