I shared a flight with Kim, Thurston and their daughter once, coming from Hartford bound for Atlanta. Now that we all know what we know about their troubles, this would have probably been right in the thick of it. They barely spoke to each other. Kim wore a huge hat.
I was too shy to say hello and I'm really happy that I had my Washing Machine t-shirt in my bag instead of on my body.

I was just thinking about how Bill Hader and his wife were in Big Sky one evening and seemed super miserable; they divorced a few months later.

I want Kim to release a solo album. Badly.
I really liked "Murdered Out". What did you think of it? Also, have you heard her duet with Malkmus on the new album? Really refreshing hearing her voice.

It was one of the best songs from last year. Amazing tune...Havent listened to that SM song yet.

Stones is on right now. I really, really like that song. It moves along at the perfect pace. The entire band is in high gear. I still remember the first time I heard it.

For those of you who are interested, here are the shows currently available on Nugs:
5 May 1988 - Cabaret Metro, Chicago, IL (soundboard recording) 13 December 1988 - CBGBs, New York, NY (mixed multi-track recording) 17 August 2002 - The Metro, Chicago, IL (mixed multi-track recording) 22 August 2007 - ABC1, Glasgow, Scotland (mixed multi-track recording) 21 October 2009 - Columbiahalle, Berlin, Germany (mixed multi-track recording) 12 August 2011 - Williamsburg Waterfront, Brooklyn, NY (soundboard recording)
I bought the December '88 and August '11 shows and they're fantastic. Though the latter is only a soundboard recording, it's still very balanced and sounds great (and is kind of an important show, historically - final North American SY show, final show before Thurston and Kim split, etc.)

I was turned off by the 2011 setlist as I'm not a big fan of The Eternal. Will definitely bite on one of those '88 shows.
