Listening to the Diamond Sea now, I really do like the first half of the song. It's up there with the best of SY. As I type, I'm on the 17 minute mark of the song, and it's just wearing on me. Having said that, I'll retract previous statements where I said that it should end after 7 minutes or so. Song fatigue didn't start kicking in until roughly the 13 minute mark, so that is an improvement for me.

What ended up happening with Kim Gordon and that solo track she released last year? Anyone know if those were from an album session or just Kim doing something for the hell of it? I really liked that song.

I'd love to hear more like it. No idea if they're planning on doing more.
Good interview. Thanks for sharing. Now I'm thinking I should probably have heard Warpaint by now.
I've got their second album (s/t) and like it. Don't spin it too often lately, but when I do it scratches a certain itch. Have not heard their other two albums.
Man i love Sonic Nurse so much. Its fuckin brillant. It has everything i love about the band..
The two punch combo of Pattern Recognition and Unmade Bed is so cool...I just adore the jam at the middle of the last one.
I gotta give this one a spin. Still haven't ever heard it but it keeps crossing my path. Probably the universe trying to tell me something.
I think its their last great work.
Sonic Nurse is so good. I think it's actually the one I've listened to the most. Maybe Daydream or Sister are better, but Nurse is the one I go to most often. Joey, I hope you listen to it soon and enjoy it as much as you do Chopper.
Thats a cool one...but i prefer Murray Street because of Sympathy For The Straberry.
What a late career run eh? RR is my least favorite of that lot, but it's grown on me over the years. I think it's a very enjoyable album, but not very memorable.
I still like Sonic Nurse the best of the three, but Murray Street isn't too far behind. Sympathy for the Strawberry, Radical Adults Lick Godhead Soup, The Empty Page, Rain On Tin and Karen Revisited are the highlights for me. Really, all 7 songs on it are pretty good.
I'm glad I got to see them twice at the 9:30 Club, granted it was the newer one, not that one from the above video, but still. I say them there during the Murray Street tour and The Eternal tour.

I wish I had seen at least one show at the 9:30 Club
The Murray St tour was a beautiful mess. Some sets were tight, others were loose and spontaneous. The one show I saw on The Eternal was awful, really one of the most disappointing shows I've ever seen.

I remember loving both, but that could have been just the smaller environment and me being really excited to see them.
