Yeah, all those Stooges covers are here:

I don't know the Wall of Flowers record! I'll see if I can find it. Trying to keep up with Watt's projects is maddening.

Yeah, i relaxed with following him and what he was doing because its impossible. I recently saw he was playing stuff with Porno For Pyros so that might happen soon.

Listened to Ball-Hog today. Just one of my all time favorite albums, even though I generally disregard the back half. Tracks 1-9 are pure gold, and perfectly sequenced.

I’ve never liked E-Ticket Ride. Forever... is a fun Minutemen cover, and the Maggot Brain cover is fun too. The rest of the back side is more jazzy/silly, and I’ve never gotten much from it. But those first nine tracks...holy shit.

I loooove Ball Hog. What a fucking incredible project. Can you imagine something like this today? and with those stars touring with you?

I love E Ticket Ride, but i agree with the back half.

Do we know who is the guys Kathleen was talking about?

It’s been debunked as a joke, you can find that on the internet somewhere. But I’m sure Dando, and probably a great others, would fit the bill

This wasn’t where I read it before, and it’s hardly solid journalism, but...

I've been listening to Jeff Tweedy's reading of the Minutemen chapter in the Our Band Could Be Your Life audiobook.

I've heard the story of Watt learning about tuning before, but it always cracks me up. Essentially he insists that before he learned about guitar/bass anatomy, he thought tight or loose strings was a preference.

There's another story about him cruising up and down a Hollywood Boulevard seeing man-whores soliciting and thinking they were just dudes looking for rides or jobs.

Mike Watt was/is a charmingly naive guy.

Maybe the first "must own" Watt project in a long while?

I've listened to this song three times and I'm in love.

Ordered the LP. The first track...wowzers. When that Hendrix guitar comes in I just swoon.
