Its not his vocals its his lyrics. he's just super out there. Maybe too much psychedelic's and green juices

Oh I think that’s just part of his charm.

it's funny you mention this. because i distinctly remember some banter from a show from when he was touring his first album. he was playing the riviera theater here in chicago, which has a large blue/purple painting in the highest point of the ceiling that is designed to look like a dome or globe. he was going on and on about ... other dimensions. i just couldn't get past how big of an absolute weirdo he was.

So…something about Red Rocks Amphitheater makes Jim James think intensely about birth canals. What’s so weird about that? …

Just gonna say in 15 months, My Morning Jacket, 22 years from their first album, have dropped 2 studio albums and a long form vault live release - that after a long break. Pearl Jam take note.

I mean, one of the albums were from the same sessions so....and pearl jam is not in any shortage of releasing live stuff.

they're still dragging their feet on the vault though.

I guess, but I don’t hear The Waterfall II as a b-sides album. And hell, I am sure Pearl Jam has enough material sitting around for at least that.

ooof.

Lucky to be alive started off super charming and catchy. Totally would love it live. However, its charm wore off super quickly and the outro seemed like....i dont know...like a classic MMJ outro attempting to be super epic but not really getting there. Kind of like theyre falling back on old tricks.
