Definitive edition. Thoughts on this? I don’t love The Fragile quite enough to splurge for an OP, and I’m excited about the new liner notes… But I am planning to splurge for an OP Downward Spiral (UK pressing) down the line

we've both posted on this board long enough to know you didn't need to ask that question

I think both the DE Fragile and the instrumental version sound excellent.

Grabbed two more:

Th Back to Black In Utero is a known pressing oddity that includes the original mix + Ludwig master, but has Albini’s mixes of Rape Me and Heart-Shaped Box instead of the Scott Litt mixes.

Pork Soda is a 2LP 2018 remaster.

Sticker price was $45. But I had dropped off a bunch of hand-me-down LPs before the holiday and had $90 in store credit.

Eno/Byrne - My Life In the Bush of Ghosts (used OP in NM condition, US Sire Records edition with original track listing) — REALLY looking forward to this one arriving in the mail

This arrived today. Sleeve is a little beat up but the vinyl is mint (was advertised as such). First time scoring something this old that still plays so well. Heavenly.

:heartbeat: Listening this morning. My first LP is a bit noisy, but it's not awful, and basically inaudible once things get loud. Otherwise this sounds incredible.

Oh and the vinyl exclusive tracks rule! 10 Miles High in particular sits really well on the album. I kind of miss Ripe (With Decay) though.

Oh and the new mix of Starfuckers, Inc. is terrific. Not sure it needed a redux, but I quite like this.

Never heard Albini's mix of HSB until today. Love it. The bass is a bottomless, churning thing. Then the guitar solo is so fucked, like a kazoo through tin foil.

Got my first 2023 release today--Phish's LP on LP #4, a 27-minute version of "Ghost" from 2000 (split onto two sides).
