The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
According to the spreadsheet on my computer that I consider gospel, I have 994 items in my record collection. I have 4 things on order currently. There's an outside chance Gigaton will be my 1000th piece (but I should get my tax return and my company stock options before the end of March, so probably not).
#995 - Jeff Tweedy - "Together At Last" #996 - Bonnie Prince Billy - "This Is Far From Over" 7'' #997 - The Donkeys & Casiotone for the Painfully Alone - "Daytrotter #26"
#998 ‐ The Decemberists - "I'll Be Your Girl" #999 - Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Bryce Dessner, Eighth Blackbird – "When We Are Inhuman" #1000 - Nine Inch Nails - "With Teeth"

Does that include 45s or just LPs?
So it includes both, which is why in my original post I referred to them as "items." It also counts something like a boxset as "1," which skews the numbers a bit. So a 7'' does count as one, but so does the Eels Dreamworks boxset (which houses 6 albums) or the Vs./Vitalogy boxset (which has 3), etc. etc. But because each boxset is purchased or acquired separately, I'm fine with counting them as one each.
My cousin gave it to me when she was working for Sony in the '90s. I put it inside a binder at some point and then didn't find it again until probably 2013 (by then I had been seriously collecting for probably 4 years, but had forgotten that 7'' existed). It's got a home in my 45 box now.
Also, full disclosure: my collection also contains 2 cassettes.
the instructions are literally "connect the RCA cables to the phono input". it does talk about the cartridge though...I need to see what kind of cartridge is on the player I guess.
it's a moving magnet cartridge so it's good. I guess.
If the input is labeled "phono" then it should be amplified. When you described it here I assumed you were plugging it into an aux input.

Since that list is from a UK publication, I'm hoping the US list has some regional releases and RSD firsts that tickle me, because that list isn't doing much for me.
also the two PJ albums I picked up are both apparently bootlegs. wtf. pretty bummed about that, and I'm pretty sure the place is going to tell me no heckin' way as to an exchange but I'm going to appeal to their better angels in that I'm doing an exchange, not a return, and I just want official product.

There are a couple of things on the list I'm interested in (the Damien Jurado 7'', the Dino Jr. live LP), but there's nothing on there that screams "marquee title" when it comes to my interests. Honestly, not a horrible thing, I can always use that cash someplace else.

BOAF on amazon.ca for $35 CDN. Same for Before The Freeze for $34 CDN. Have been on watchlist for a long time for Before The Freeze. Ran across BOAF by accident. BOAF is still on amazon.ca but for $50 CDN.
Sweet. I ordered BOAF from amazon but delivery isn't for up to three weeks or some shit.
Didn't even look for before the freeze but im on it now....
It is like $20 on Amazon but I know they already reissued it in a blue/white vinyl. This only says Before the Frost. Does it contain all of it?

took it back and the owner was there today. he was surprised they were bootlegs but was convinced by the lack of label information anywhere.
grabbed the QotSA LE Villians and a copy of Beck's Colors album that was the LE yellow vinyl as well as a pretty nice copy of Decades from Neil Young and finally Binaural and Vitalogy.
