Various - Rough Guide to Booze & Blues
No idea what this is, but why would you bite on the vinyl? Comps are notoriously poorly mastered with no benefit above the digital collection.
My vinyl listening preference weighs heavily towards the blues, soundtracks, reggae and classic/prog rock. Not sure why but I prefer some genres over others on vinyl. Also, Rough Guide does a pretty great job cleaning old recordings up.
I mostly use vinyl on music I really want to listen to versus it being background music. I have a great setup but generally don't get too fussed over mastering/mixing unless it is bad.

Those are all great genres for vinyl bc the digital masters are typically bass-heavy, with good vinyl mastering jobs being more midrange focused (and with broader dynamic range).
I’ve never bought anything from RT so i trust your judgment!

According to the spreadsheet on my computer that I consider gospel, I have 994 items in my record collection. I have 4 things on order currently. There's an outside chance Gigaton will be my 1000th piece (but I should get my tax return and my company stock options before the end of March, so probably not).
#995 - Jeff Tweedy - "Together At Last" #996 - Bonnie Prince Billy - "This Is Far From Over" 7'' #997 - The Donkeys & Casiotone for the Painfully Alone - "Daytrotter #26"
#998 ‐ The Decemberists - "I'll Be Your Girl" #999 - Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Bryce Dessner, Eighth Blackbird – "When We Are Inhuman" #1000 - Nine Inch Nails - "With Teeth"
This was all from February of 2020. I just added release #1099, Pete Francis's "The Movie We Are In." I have...shit...12 orders at various places, so #1100 could be almost anything. Exciting!

So #1100 ended up being Pete Francis's "So They Say." It's autographed with a personalized thank you for "Frank." I am not Frank.

Beastie boys was delayed. It will either come out in July or the record store will call me when it does come in, they don't really know. The girl behind the counter was making stuff up as she was talking to me.

I think the only thing on the list that interested me was Jonathan Richman.
I missed the early opening but was still able to get this. They also had one copy of the RATM left, and it seems like it's going to be pretty hard to get, so i snagged that.
I forgot there was an M. Ward reissue out today, too, but my local had none left.
