Got $200 in gift cards to spend on records for my bday
Enjoy your 4 new records.
By my estimation I'll be able to snag a whopping six!
I got 8 LPs for $90 at Newbury Comics' sale this weekend; digging through the stacks can still pay off!
Highlights ?
Destroyer - "Your Blues" (/250 limited blue vinyl) Andrew Bird - "Are You Serious?" + 7'' red/blue Dinosaur Jr - "Sweep It Into Space" purple Leonard Cohen - "Thanks for the Dance"

I'm #6 in a future line.
So is this like when I go to the local Italian Deli and grab a numbered ticket and the numbers tick over on the number display until it gets to me and I can finally order my house special continental roll with lettuce?
But its different isn't it? Because in this case I'm not even at the store, I'd be at home, with a number. But that number to me looks like a number to then obtain the real number in the store.
So how would that work then? I'd go to the store with my number, they'd say "Oh, you're number 6 - please stand in that line" and I'd be the 6th person standing in line outside the store.
So then we'd go in and would I then have to actually grab the usual number at the counter as well so I could get my continental roll?? Or would it just be that I was now "in the store" and could race straight to the counter for my roll?
I find this very confusing indeed. And now I'm hungry as well.

So when you get to the store on Black Friday you'll be waiting behind 5 other people.
Yes.
Actually, it's more like Higgs' explanation.
The dude has a list of names. We'll all stand around the sidewalk outside the store drinking coffee, and once the 5th guy finishes looking at the first box of RSD records, they'll call my name, and I'll be allowed to go in and start looking.

What if any of the five ahead of you are late? Is there a time limit? Do they have to be there when their name is called?
