ah bummer. glad it's fixed. did it cost much to have it repaired?
i've been picking up a lot of static in my speakers. probably the terminals and the wiring, but i dunno.
I need to touch up my receiver. I get static when i switch inputs and mess with volume. It clears up immediately but its only a matter of time.
that's what happens to me too. the wiring on my speakers is pretty frayed and old. and i'm guessing the terminals on the receiver are dirty (vintage receiver). and the ground wire probably isn't the best.

I played a used LP that I bought 4-5 months ago for the first time today. I thought it was the standard black edition--nope! Turns out it is marbled/multicolored, only out of 500. Fun surprise!

Have not been day drinking in a long time, but after a nice hike I came home, had a bowl or three and spun vinyl. All over the map.
The Pretenders - EP (Talk of the Town is such an amazing song. The vocal delivery makes me fall in love with Chrissie Hynde every time I hear it) Michael Jackson - Thriller Rory Gallagher - Live in Europe '74 Styx - Cornerstone Opeth - Live at Royal Albert Hall Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool
BBQ'ing, drinks, friends and vinyl, I love the summer.

What's that Opeth album like?

I am far from an Opeth aficionado but I really like it. Four album set, includes all of Blackwater Park and a song of each album up to that time. It has worked as a great introduction to early Opeth.
