What We Lose in the Fire We Gain in the Flood is pretty fantastic. I haven't heard anything else, yet.

I just listened to their entire catalogue from beginning to end for the first time in a couple of months.

There's just nothing I don't LOVE about this band. Fucking GREAT!!!

The Mynabirds are going to be a big part of my drive to Brooklyn tomorrow morning.

Wait, what?!

You heard me. Postal Service at Barclays tonight.

I THOUGHT THAT WAS NEXT WEEKEND

I figured it was time I listened to the whole of 'Generals', so I did, on the train the other week.

I found it brilliant. More eclectic and varied in sound than I'd normally listen to, probably, but with more and more listens since I'm realising that that's this band's talent. Variety of style and influence.

I love Generals but I think I like 'What we lose in the fire...' a little bit more.

I go back and forth. For a while I was all Generals (even though I adore the first one). After a while something shifted. I listen to What We Lose... more often now. But I don't know that I'll ever be able to pick between the two. I genuinely love every song on both. Which is reason number one that they are one of my favorite bands.

I think you'd really enjoy it as these guys's first record reminded me of that feel quite a bit. Plus it's got Son of a Preacher Man.

I'm trying to convert Sarah Harmless to The Mynabirds and it seems to be working.

What are the others? I'll tell you whether or not you're wrong and you need to listen again.

"There's nothing you could do

Breaks me every time.
