On a whim today, I threw on Beach House's Thank Your Lucky Stars, an album that kind of passed me by at the time. It's a little delight -- a few minor novelties sonically, mostly par for the course, but a worthy entry in their formidable catalog. The more avenues that exist by which to fill the world with this beautiful sound, the better. |

One of my all-time favorite albums, just top-to-bottom perfection. The follow-up is a notch lower, but overall it's pretty terrific. They had announced a reunion album a couple years ago but I don't know what happened with that. |
