i really had no intention of listening to this new album, but i accidentally heard a song through spotify's "discover" playlist, and i'm really digging it
There's just too much hype that's not music related. The album's enjoyable but nothing groundbreaking or warranting the amount of hype it and she are receiving.
completely agree, it's just payola. which is exactly why i never intended to listen to it. just surprised i'm actually enjoying it.
I think it’s surprisingly good despite the strangeness of her persona in the songs.

I've seen some stuff about her...like how she was selling out an arena tour before the album was actually released. Some hints of payola in the articles but no one would come out and say it. How is this still a thing in 2019? So weird.

Some bands/artists get to a point where they sell out shows like that and then realize they don’t even need to release said album
