I'm trying out Spotify's "Your Daily Mix" playlist that they curate for you. This first one is pretty awesome. Little St. Vincent, Father John Misty and PJ Harvey so far. I'm digging it.

I do this sometimes too, and it's cool that they do different playlists for different types of music--my wife and I share an account, but it's always clear whose playlist is whose. However, mine are pretty same-y--each week, it's frequently the same artists and sometimes even just the same songs. Like there might be a different Jason Molina song, but they always throw in the same Decemberists song.

Listening to Feist's new-ish album, "Pleasure" -- this one really took a while to click, the production apart from the voice is very lo-fi and tape-hissy so what the songs are trying to do compositionally isn't always front and center. But its hooks are into me now -- the songs (the first five tracks especially) are just the perfect blend of pretty and raw; I can't get enough of 'em.

"Any Party" is a monster of a song.

Listening to that Cibo Matto album from 2014. Not sure how I missed this. It's great!

These songs aren't cool per se, but they are what I'm listening to:
