The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

I've been listening to The Allman Brothers non-stop.
Which albums?
Eat A Peach is by far my favourite. Actually it's the only one that totally works for me. I've also digested Brothers & Sisters, and Idlewild South.
Damn. That's my favorite too, and I never feel compelled to put on the other ones. I was hoping you might lead me to a new appreciation for the other records.

I'm gonna be looking into the Dickey Betts solo records, and I don't really know Live at the Filmore yet. Obviously Live at the Filmore is what most people consider the best album.
This is the best thing I have heard by them but I can't track down a quality copy of the album.

And you won't. That's the best one out there. It IS notable for its version of Blue Sky which is the only known soundboard recording of it with Duane in the band.
If you're going to go Live At Fillmore East, get the set that came out a couple years back, The Fillmore Recordings. The Allman Brothers were a LIVE band and this set includes all the concerts recorded for the original LAFE album. It's the absolute BEST remastering I've ever heard. It's like being in the room on those nights. It's by far the pinnacle of the band's recordings.

God. The radio is playing the awful cover Molly Hatchet did of the Allman Brothers tune Dreams. I meant shit, one of the ABB founders just died and you play a fuck-awful cover of one their songs? C'mon!
