It's inconsistent, and Ed sounds a bit tired. But it's the last PJ album with lots of brilliant songs. It has some outstanding lyrics as well.
I disagree with your first two points. But I agree with your last two. Riot Act is my second favorite PJ album and I think it's actually more consistent than Vitalogy (which I have at #1). Vitalogy just has some all time classic songs on it. Riot Act lacks that. It's consistent and it's cohesive as fuck, but it lacks that stand alone monster track.
Get Right and Help, Help are among my least favorite PJ songs, Ghost and Bushleaguer are so so. I like Cropduster and Green Disease, although they are not PJ standouts. Arc Is great, but it is what it is. Still leaves a solid bunch of songs I love.
Surprised you don't think Ed had some weak moments. It's all in the ears of the receiver I guess.
Difficult to rank the albums, but No Code is number one.
Help Help is easily my favorite track on the album.
1. All Or None 2. Love Boat Captain 3. I Am Mine 4. Thumbing My Way 5. Save You 6. Can't Keep 7. Cropduster 8. 1/2 Full 9. You Are 10. Arc 11. Green Disease 12. Ghost 13. Bushleaguer 14. Get Right 15. Help, Help
I don't understand how anybody could hate "Get Right". It's not a moody masterpiece but it's a fun little song. I think people are just retarded and can't wrap their heads around Matt's songs.

I've only heard smoke rings which I really like. I saw him in 2012 and it was
I had avoided him because Pitchfork loved him. I finally started listening to b'lieve i'm goin down... about a week ago, and it's terrific. I'm excited for his new record with Courtney Barnett.

Its a really great record, but I believe that the 2 albums that precede it are even better.

This Kelela album that the blogosphere loves is actually pretty great too. I love the production, and her singing is fairly elementary and unobtrusive, but there's something about her voice that really connects with me. It's like a modern update on Whitney-era Whitney Houston.
