I copy/pasted those lines from the internet. I edited my original post but you'd already quoted me...

The internet says the line is "I won't cry over from the kitchen" but I thought it was "I won't cry wolf in the kitchen."

Which is it?

I thought it was wolf in the kitchen too.

Ok good. I'll check the liner notes when I get home. Google is worse at lyrics than Pearl Jam fans.

Totally agree. I love the breathy-ness. It's melodic and quiet and desperate and passionate all at the same time. It's a brilliant kickoff to the record, especially given where the listener ends.

Seeing her again on 1/15 :hooray:

It will be my fourth time seeing St. Vincent (2x solo, 2x with band)...

First time was in Dallas, opening for The National on the Boxer tour... it was just Annie, her guitars, amps, pedals, a mic, and a stompbox... I was right at her feet...

So badass! Can't wait!!!

i saw her on that tour as well. i distinctly remember her coming out and singing with matt on green gloves, slow show, and gospel and completely stealing the show. she was awesome.

I'm new to this and maybe it's the wrong thread, but I started checking it out because the record ended up on a lot of 2017 lists.

Started alphabetically and heard the studio version of this. What a melodic daydream.

Spoiler: show

So. Fucking. Good. I love that song so much. Actor really is an underrated album (in my experience) among fans.

It's my least favorite and I always think I'm underrating it. But then I listen to the others and they're just better.

I really love it, though it's the only St. Vincent record I've given much time to.

I've heard the S/T album a few times too but found it more hit and miss.

I kinda like all of her albums about the same. Strange Mercy is probably first.
