Vince Guaraldi is pretty great and you can go fuck yourself. Merry Christmas.

He may be great - but that song is terrible, and fuck you too! Merry Christmas guy!

This is false. The "Charlie Brown Christmas" album features versions of "What Child is This?" and "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," as well as a piece called "My Little Drum," which is a variation on "The Little Drummer Boy." And in the TV special, Linus delivers a monologue on the "true meaning of Christmas" which is basically just a direct quote of the Nativity story from one of the gospels.

It's far more than just a harmless album that happens to sound better than other Christmas music. It is a lovingly crafted jazz record full of emotion and rich melodicism, with just the right amount of whimsy. I have at times called it the finest album ever made.

If we're going to continue this with any sort of regard for consistency, I'm going to need you to be less of a shitposting bore.

Ok... Yeah, the Linus thing IS kinda over-the-top Christiano, and I'm over the Charlie Brown cartoons now. As an adult, it pisses me off how much Chuck gets bullied. HOWEVER... As someone who works with kids daily, I like the positive lesson that's taught in the shows.

BUT...

That score is fucking great!

ALSO...

Everytime I hear some Sonic Youth, I end up dancing like the Peanuts crew...

Especially the Ruby Slipper Vulture Shuffle...

What stupid fucking lyrics. It's annoying bullshit when anybody sings it.

The most wendy carlos's twin post of all time.

It's a great point, though. Definitely one of the more annoying Xmas songs out there. This is why I stick to my own various mixes from throughout the years, and stay the fuck away from the radio stations and retail stores during the holidays.

"Walking In A Winter Wonderland" is a nice sentiment, and the melody is actually rather nice. It's the stupid lyrics that ruins it.

"Auld Lang Syne" isn't really a Christmas song, I don't think

I kinda want to hear the waitresses Christmas song right now. It's a favorite of mine and I don't think I've heard hardly any decent Christmas music this year. I'll have to go YouTube it I guess.
