It sounds kind of like The Jesus and Marychain playing on The Smiths' gear while being made to keep up with Nathan Followill on drums.

Thanks for the kind words about the write up, guys. And I'm glad a lot of you seem to be enjoying the track to a certain extent. If I get busted this week for stealing a bike to ride while listening to this, you'll all know where I got the idea.
(Also, since I've apparently got to pick who goes next, if anyone is up for it just let me know. But be warned, if Jorge offers to do one of these for I'm On Fire, he automatically gets picked to go next...)

It's my first visit to this thread. Man, I hate most British Indie with a passion but I loved this song, and the writeup.

As I stepped out into the bitter February air and hit play, I felt a chill go down my spine and was instantly aware that it had nothing to do with the weather. A single, reverb-laden, jangly guitar let an almost mournful, hesitant cry that slowly turned into a beautiful melodic phrase. A world of toms punctuated by military-esque bursts of snare propelled the song forward as the initial melancholy lead guitar suddenly took on an air of euphoria. It was totally familiar, but at the same time totally unique. The Smiths had never sounded this ethereal. R.E.M. had never sounded this focused. I walked in a daze down Michigan Avenue listening to one of the most instantly beautiful pieces of pop music I had ever heard.
Came into this one completely blind, decided to press play before starting into the write-up. Loved the song, and especially this paragraph.

You want to write one, Kaius? So far no one has been able to come through with another one with the holiday season being so busy. The door is open if you'd like...

No one wants to follow yours is what the problem is! I'm slightly intimidated by the task, but I'll give it some consideration. Leave the sign on though.

The pressure is pretty low. I think people will just be thrilled to see a new song up here. Just let me know if you think you might knock one out and I'll pass the word on to stip.
I really want to do one of these. I just haven't had the proper time to devote to the task. Sorry. But I will do one eventually. Hopefully sooner than later.

I'm sorry for dropping the ball. For what it's worth I haven't been able to really devote attention to anything like this over the last couple months (which is why I didn't participate in the mixtape project). This sort of thing is right up my alley and I will do it when time permits, I promise.
