Don't be like that, zeb. You're the godfather of OB. We take heed of every suggestion. Savor every nuance.

I certainly loves me some "post-rock," and this thread runs a pretty good gamut of some great music. I feel like I have to add Tortoise, because they are amazing, even though I presume most here are primarily interested in/concerned with "crescendo-core," so they don't really fit in.
Furthermore, I need to rep Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra (and all variations thereof), because they are my favorite band. There's a lot more singing than anything else in this discussion, besides Sigur Ros, but I feel they deserve recognition alongside many of these other bands.
It's brilliant stuff, this. I remember loving it the first time.

this is not post-rock, more like ambient (dark), but it's my #1 song for the 2013 apocalypse
This guy has a new record out this week as The Stranger, I'm really looking forward to it.
We should have a thread for this stuff, huh?
*puts cynical hat on* So this song has a lovely, dark atmosphere (which is the point, isn't it) but it's basically somebody else's song that 'The Caretaker' has put filters and effects all over and claimed as his own, yes? So the song is some swooshes and crackling sounds? *takes cynical hat off*

This is just kind of a pretty boring / average rock song without a vocalist.
