Some great music, though. Have you heard them?

No idea what others like, but these are some of my favorites. Anyway, they had a new album come out yesterday, wanted to see what others thought.

Haven't heard it yet but Divine Providence was excellent.

Total grower, that one. First listen to War Elephant and I was hooked. Divine Providence took more time. Chevy Express was a hit from the first listen, though.

I listened to some of those, chloe. Not sure it's my thing, but I could see the appeal.

And god help me, deer tick seems like a good name for them. There is a woodsy feel to them

 it is sort of fitting.
I caught one of their shows in Phoenix a few years ago, they are the smelliest band I've ever seen. My girlfriend and I were front row and the venue only held about 150 people so we were literally "on" their stage area. I was regretting that decision to be so close by the end of the evening. John, the lead singer, he has a tattoo of a deer tick on his arm, too. Not sure what his obsession is with ticks... :D

Was worried it was just me. Given it two spins so far, still not getting it.

I guess i'm the only one digging the new album.

I like the first 7 songs or so a lot. I thought they sound like a more mature band then on their previous albums.

I'll keep liking it you all keep on hatin

I've been meaning to listen to these guys for a while. Thanks for recommendations to get me started :-)
