When I heard she stealth dropped a new album I figured it would be heavy on ballads but wow.....16 slow piano jams! We really need to go back to 8-10 song albums. Enough with the self indulgence.

It is very long.

This is good. Im shocked. Im not a huge fan of Tay Tay's general pop aesthetic but it seems she took cues from the likes of Jenny Lewis, Phoebe bridgers, Sharon Vn etten etc...

And it suits her well.

Pretty much every Taylor swift album could be immeasurably improved by removing 5-6 filler tracks, any album around the 14+ songs mark is too long

I've been listening to a lot of the bands mentioned in the dorkiest guy in the band thread like the Cars and Boston...8/9 songs per album. Feels like enough. Seems like now a days instead of a tight all killer cohesive albums we get session dumps. I guess if you really love an artist you want everything I just don't think it makes for classic albums. I'm sure Taylor Swift fans could give a shit about my feelings on the subject.

Disagree when it comes to Red and Lover.

I'll be interested to hear your take. From the sound of it, you like the more poppy side of Tay Tay.

I like both sides. That's why Red is her best album.

This is really impressive considering as far as I can tell this hadn't even been started/written as of the end of the April? I guess it's a bit rawer than some of Taylor's other work, but it does not sound like a record written, played and produced in a mad dash.
