There seem to be some great books in that series, and some really really terrible ones. The Highway 61 Revisited one is a favorite, as is Exile on Mainstreet. In the Aeroplane is decent, if a little too busy romanticizing the scene to really dive into the album. The Let it Be book, on the other hand, is straight up tedious....and you'll get more about Harvest in Shakey than you will in the Harvest book. Also, all day today I was singing Don't Worry About the Government. |

I haven't read the Replacement one, yet. From what I've heard, though, it's more about his experience discovering the band than it is about the album itself. Nobody gives a shit, Meloy! |
