there's one thing that I feel is absolutely crucial to unpacking this album and, in my humble opinion, you can't possibly understand it if you've not grasped this major, major point

long albums this good always make me wish all albums were this long; the only reason they aren't is that most artists couldn't collect 27 songs this good at any one time

there are no bad songs on this album
The Levi Jeans song I did not like. A few of the songs in the second half I glossed over - doesn’t mean they are bad at all, but this album isn’t perfect. It’s really really good though.

I could do without the Levi Jeans song but I stand behind my post; everything belongs, even the interludes and experiments, just like on Vitalogy
There aren't a ton of albums out there that I've heard where the interludes feel as vital and necessary to the album concept as they do here. Also, they're all like super short. What do they add all together, like a minute and a half to the album? Maybe?
I mean, really the only "interludes" are the Willie Nelson spots. The others feel like parts of the songs they proceed; much like pry,to into corduroy. The aren't interludes or skits, they are intros that just happen to have their own track list number.

I like the interludes, for the most part. They make the album feel like a cohesive artistic statement. (Getting nitpicky, the only one I'd personally cut is "Oh Louisiana" because the pitch-shifting is kind of annoying and the track just genuinely sounds bad)
Also I think this album flies by. It really doesn't feel 78 minutes long
