Best place I could think to put this epiphany, but I'm quickly learning that Blonde Redhead is really good. Have I been sleeping on a classic of the noise punk genre?
Kind of. They veer away from that genre pretty hard later on.
One of the most common troubles that a band might go through after being trampled by a horse, from what I hear.

My youngest son got into Metallica a few years ago. I was obviously aware of them growing up and owned the black album, but they were never my thing. Saw them with a friend in 2009 or so and enjoyed it but didn’t know half the songs. Last year I took my son to see them twice. Did the same this year and have tickets for a pair of shows next year. They’re not my favorite band, but aside from this mellow STP/VR/Weiland playlist I made, I’ve listened to Metallica way more than any other artist over the past two years. It’s been a lot of fun. I really love their new album, too. I hope they keep playing at least through my son’s high school years. They’re really great.

Talking Heads, The Cure, The Strokes, and Black Keys are probably the best examples of bands that I didn’t like at first but grew on me over time. Now I love them all.

when I had my record store in the 90s I was always all over new music..I kept it up until probably 2008 or so and then just kind of quit for no reason..I have no idea what is out there these days..I still go to zeppelin, Neil, Dylan, etc...the only vinyl I order these days are reissues of 60s blue note jazz..when the radio is on at home its always classical...get off my lawn
please confirm: did you own a record store or did you simply mean to say that you had a favourite record you frequented?
I owned a record store in Denver for a few years then sold it
I totes thought this was in New York, not Denver.
Also this doug rr post contains multiple letters that are not lower-case. What the hell, doug rr???
