I can’t think of any specific examples at the moment, but there have been songs I’ve found on Spotify that have been re-recorded — years later — by either the full band or the lead singer bc Spotify didn’t have streaming rights to the originals

Jason Molina also did this often. There are 2 versions of Hammer Down, one with a full band and one solo acoustic. I think I like the full band one more.

Gang of Four re-did a bunch of their stuff for Return The Gift. Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven re-did some songs for their respective hits compilations. Nine Inch Nails re-recorded a bunch of tracks for Still. The Jesus And Mary Chain re-recorded "The Hardest Walk" for the Some Kind of Wonderful soundtrack. R.E.M. famously re-recorded "Radio Free Europe" for Murmur.
