I can't believe the only clip we have of the new single is the same "woodwinds warming up" intro stuff that we've heard on at least one or two The 1975 songs before

I really liked the song, lush production as always, strings! sax! and some inflection in Matty's voice that felt Don McClean-ish

but then the video cemented my love for it, it's beautiful and weird and folk horror-like

I'm hoping for some louder electric stuff on the new album as well but overall I'm excited for a more stripped back to basics sound a la self-titled b-sides

I love their electronica pop side but I'm ready for a folk / rock album

idk, I'm kinda disappointed

it sounds bland

and I can sing "The Sound" and "She's American" on top of it

I think I'd be super into it a few years ago but ILIWYS already happened
