So while I was having my MRI today they gave me headphones, and this came on the radio. Could have sworn it was a solo Ed song

It's pretty clear that The Lazy Eyes borrowed heavily from Innerspeaker-era Tame Impala. But then, Kevin Parker borrowed heavily from Dungen. It's borrowing all the way down, and it sounds bloody great.

What'd I miss? Been travelling today and here I am.

I have played that Lazy Eye tune no less than 10 times today.

Do I win something or what??

Funny you mentioned them, I almost posted yesterday in another thread that I finally learned how to pronounce Dungen

Nope, I was surprised myself. I mean makes sense being a Swedish word but I still had no idea.

Tell me you hit the panic button to stop it and ask what the song/artist was. 'Cause that would be awesome.

The Lazy Eyes are an Aussie crew who sound like they listen to a bit of King Giz and perhaps some Tame Impala etc. They've just released their debut album, Songbook.

This is the killer lead single Fuzz Jam. Love that bass.

Listened to the first half with the second half coming in a bit. This album is really good.

Finished the album. Damn good. The Seaside, The Island, Starting Over, Fuzz Jam, Nobody Taught Me, and Imaginary Girl (holy late 60s Beatles vibes) are all fantastic , as is the coda of Cheesy Love Song.

I never tried to get into these guys but have dug the handful of things I've heard. Spun this the other day and was pretty psyched on it, but nothing in particular stuck. More just the overall vibe and sound.

I bought the album on a whim during my trip. I hadn't really paid much attention to these guys after The Monitor, which I do really like. Listening to it now and it's just a bouncy, classic rock influenced good time.

I couldn't get into The Monitor as a whole, but the opening track is something else.
