Agree! The earlier Columbia version is tops. I've actually been familiar with that version for far longer and only discovered this version (recorded for Commodore Records a few years later) this year after picking up a compilation on a whim. I fell in love with the phrasing, especially during the bridge ("oh, how I yearn").

I went on a massive Fugazi binge in the last couple of months of 2020 that spilled well into 2021. Then Coriky. Then The Evens. Anyway, despite all the Ian-centric content I was listening to with those side projects, my most played song of 2021 was Full Disclosure, a Guy song.
