I feel like it's pretty different. I prefer the first one so far, it's much more post-punk influenced, but I haven't spent a ton of time with the second.

I was only able to get to the first three tracks on the 2021 record. But I really liked it. I think the second one (so far) has made the stronger impression on me. But I need much more time with both -- and I need to finish #1.

Anyone hear this Nate Smith album Kinfolk 2: See the Birds? I'm listening to it now and it's blowing my mind. Really fluid playing and compositions, effortlessly eclectic. Jumps from jazz to hip-hop to choppy metal freakouts and neo-soul without feeling like it's trying too hard to be too much.
