Yeah, that Tamar Aphek album is killer. Except she loses me with the cover track at the end - As Time Goes By.
The drumming on this thing. Every element fires, but this already feels like a drum record for the ages. Good lord.
Cheers Reido!
Glad you're enjoying this. It sounds slightly outside of time to me. I connect mostly to the no wave elements of it. Jazzy and atmospheric, with endless nooks and crannies.

Didn't pay attention much this year but there's only a handful of albums I find myself returning to:
Snail Mail - Valentine Deafheaven - Infinite Granite Godspeed - God's Pee [Whatever it's called] Grouper - Shade Tyler, The Creator - Call Me If You Get Lost
The War on Drugs album is okay but it might be a grower, the last one was.

That Godspeed album is damn good. The Deafheaven is good but fails to reach the heights I feel it could.
Yeah I agree with that. New Bermuda is an all-timer for me and I was pretty lukewarm on this one for a while but it grew on me. First half is a lot stronger than the second.

That Parquet Courts album is a good one.
I tried it and switched it off after two songs.
