I remember I was in Miami when it happened. I was posting from the balcony of my apartment overlooking the beach. And I was having an argument with Adamdude.
I listened to this album Projector by Geese and thought it sounded pretty good. I enjoyed the wild tempo changes happening to really keep my attention and it seemed to work well. Certainly they sound much more developed than I would expect from a young band releasing their first album.
Also listened to the War on Drugs album and enjoyed that too. I guess I lied when I pledged to only listen to My Morning Jacket for the next month. Also I rarely really listen to new things so consider that progress.

yes...these guys were a band to watch on Stereogum recently. I think the track they'd featured was Disco. I liked it a lot. I'll have to check the full album out.

not sure when The Notwist released a new album this year, but anyway I'm loving it today. More overtly krautrocky than Neon Golden, which is the only other one I'm intimately familiar with.
I just think this album is perfect for the medium.
It’s actually kind of interesting to me - this band. Don’t forget that I’m a Minnesotan. So, both low and trampled by turtles are out of the Duluth area. Why are both bands so ….different.
I'd give Low a 9/10 from an instrumental/production aspect, but the vocals sit at around a 3 for me. Not very interesting melodies to be putting over these otherwise deep and textured tracks.
