New boygenius album. Every single one of these songs feels tailor made for a dramedy montage scene. I've listened to this album exactly once and I'm already sick to death of it.

To be fair, i dont think this record stand a fair chance with you Trag
I love recent albums by Carly Rae Jepsen and Haim so I'm not sure what you're getting at here
i dont think you like Phoebe Bridgers or Lucy Dacus that much and this answer kinda tells that..."...i love these two other artists who doesnt have anything to do with these three gals"

Yeah I think the album is absolutely lovely. "We're in Love" hit me like a ton of bricks. Also I think Julien Baker is the most gifted and poetic of the boygenius women but Lucy Dacus is the best singer and Phoebe Bridgers is the most well-rounded pop songwriter and interpreter with crossover appeal

really?
do you like her solo music?
yeah a lot, sprained ankle is not only the only boygenius adjacent record that truly clicked with me (i do enjoy others, mainly punisher and historian but they are still not 100% my thing, also i haven't listened to all of them) but it's also one of my favorite albums ever, i like how it feels closer to a very slowed down midwest emo record (reminds me of early pedro the lion but that might be just the religious guilt undertones lol) rather than just mellow folky singer songwriter stuff, i definitely get why her stuff wouldn't be for everyone but I love it
