I want to be loved. Everybody does. An IDLES thread.

How about a thread for Jeff Ament's favorite band.
I've been saying these guys are the spiritual successors to PJ long before Jeff was touting them. Their live album is the closest any band I've heard has come to matching the power and fury of Abbruzzese era PJ. And the singer has a combination of aggression, tenderness and empathy that reminds me of 90s Ed.

They can barely play their instruments, but they kick ass!!
They definitely don't have PJ's chops (yet), but there are moments on their live album where it's just bass and drums that remind me so much of old versions of Blood, Why Go, Leash, etc.

At the end of Mr. Motivator I thought he was saying, "You're a joke, how fucking saggy," which didn't seem very nice. But I guess he's referencing a British boxer.

this guy's cadence on virtually every song is almost the same, and i find it hard to get past it. that's why i love grounds so much; it's actually different.
although the refrain in model village is pretty kick ass.

listened to their whole 'Joy as an Act of Resistance' today, first time all the way through
really like these guys
curious what they will sound like a couple albums from now.... there's definitely room for them to do more instrumentally, which i think they are capable of
