I also cant wait for the new Other Lives album, they had my fav album of 2015. All of their 3 albums are VERY good.

It's a fair comment, though. Frusciante alone has a lot more to offer creatively than all of Pearl Jam.

Field Music released a fun album on Friday. I'm getting a hard Scary Monsters era Bowie vibe from this single. Maybe some Talking Heads, too. The whole album feels like late 70s, early 80s funk with a touch of prog. I like this song enough to dive into their back catalog.

Coffee or Wine :hooray:

Bowie, Roxy Music, Steely Dan... Little bits of noise in the background. This will be fun on headphones too. Great find!

Back in September I attended Day 1 of Basilica Soundscape, a music festival that highlights more fringe styles; experimental, DIY, electronic, modern classical, etc. One of the acts I caught was Crickets who are a trio consisting of JD Samson (Le Tigre), Roddy Bottum (Faith No More) and Michael O'Neil (Princess). The play a kind of electro punk music and the performance was pretty good, though not really my thing. However, I do believe they might appeal to some on here, and they've just released their first single, "Drill Two Holes" which is going to be on their debut LP out sometime in the spring through Muddguts Records who put out the new Duster album last month. Here's the song:
