I actually couldn't make it through twice. After these two I'm not excited at all for this one. I like overseas okay I guess.

For such an awful chorus why does he sing it like 37 times.

Based on what I've read about the subject matter of "Letting You Go" (his daughter) I know I'm gonna love that one. Not real excited about the rest. Seems like it's shaping up to be "white man's world: the album."

Be afraid, be very afraid. But listen anyway. But preorder anyway.

I don't hate this new song. But I agree that the chorus repeats way too much.

I can't overemphasize how good Southeastern and Something More Than Free are.

I use the two albums as my sleep playlist when I'm not going to sleep with my wife (naps, etc) and delete Super 8 cause it doesn't fit.

The lyrics of those two albums are just unbelievable. I'm not much of a lyrics guy but I've really focused on them the last few weeks as shit has been trying personally and it just blows me away. The albums are just so good.

In my 20's I used to go to sleep to Cold Roses (Ryan Adams). Those 2 albums easily compare to the strength of Cold Roses though Cold Roses musically is probably much better. And Ryan Adams is an asshole and Jason Isbell is awesome.

The cover of Southeastern is revolting. I can't get past it.

Cover Me Up prob my least favorite song on the two albums now but only cause it's been so overplayed.

And lol @ cover art. I don't even know what album cover art looks like. I listen on streaming websites like every other human.

I feel ya. I listened to these 2 albums and a bunch of his other stuff quite a bit when I was going through my divorce last year. Spent a lot of time at home getting stoned by myself and he has a lot of songs that had something for each stage of that process.

I still don't like What've I Done to Help

Take away the repetitive vocals at the end, just let the music play, and the song would be a vastly improved.

I'm hoping the show in June gets cancelled. It's possible my wife and I are both unemployed by then.

Another new song dropped today. I'm afraid to listen.

Edit: it's good. That's the Isbell I like.
