Oh yeah. That sold out immediately. Plus my work schedule doesn't make seeing shows easy.

Saw Girl From the North Country tonight. It was inspired and evocative. I loved it.

Hypothetically, if an RMer were to just show up at your place of employment to say hi, how much would it freak you out?

I'm not gonna do it, but I'd be lying if I said the thought doesn't cross my mind pretty much every time I'm near Broadway

i'd like to take this opportunity to reiterate my personal policy that musical theater is the lowest form of art and should be limited solely to amusement parks for children

I don't think it would freak me out at all. I only know what like three of you look like.

And despite my reputation here, I'm a pretty open and friendly person. I'd be thrilled to have any of you stop by and say hello.

Except Bammer.

Again, no idea what you look like IRL. I would not be at all surprised to find out that you had come in and purchased tickets from me and never said boo about it.

POTUS is fucking great! I haven't had that much pure fun at a Broadway show in a long, long time. I highly recommend checking it out if you're able. :heartbeat:

Saw Hamilton, Book of Mormon, and Girl From the North Country this weekend.

About 2/3 of the Hamilton cast was standbys but it was still a lot of fun.

So, we basically went spur of the moment. We saw Book of Mormon that afternoon and didn't have nighttime plans and during intermission we're flipping through the playbill and saw a thing about North Country and got tickets. I was there for Bob Dylan songs. I don't know what I was expecting to tell you the truth, but it wasn't what it was. I thought the music was outstanding (even though it seemed like there were a surprising number of songs from the 80s which is the Dylan decade I don't know at all) and I loved the concert-like performances to a number of the songs. The play itself came together for me in the last 45 mins or so and I enjoyed it overall.

I also have very little experience with plays so I don't think my opinion is worth very much. The only other plays I've seen are Wicked and All the Way with Bryan Cranston a few years.

Your opinion matters to me. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I went to go see Little Shop of Horrors last night. Off Broadway. As a kid growing up the movie had a profound impact on me. But this was the first time I'd ever seen the stage version

Little Shop is probably my favorite musical. It was so, so great.

This is the oldest Weaseling’s favorite as well. She’s seen it 2-3 times so far. Mrs Wease is wanting to see it when we’re up there in January.
