I think it would have been more potent with different production.

Record is still growing on me though...

This is just too mellow for me overall, I listened to it drunk after the bar last night and it still wasn't doing too much for me.

I've only had the chance to give this one decent spin, but I love it! What a fun album!

I'm really digging Fortress and VoC, guess I'm in a sentimental mood.

If you hate those then you'll hate this.

Mark Ronson was such a shitty choice for production though. I mean fucking seriously?

Well...I don't much care for Era and absolutely love TCV and I'm totally down with the album.

Ok, i given more listens and its not the boring flat album i thought it was...but im still disappointed. The production is not awful, but where is the warmth and depth? Even the voice sound over processed or some shit. And this is the worst sounding drums ever in a Josh Homme release ever...if josh wanted something more poppy or danceable he should have done something like ¨Sunday¨ from the Iggy album. its a shame for Jon, because he is a terrific drummer and everything he does here sounds flat.

I already made peace that Josh is not interested in doing a stoner album again, but this are the weakest 9 songs he did in a long time.
This is like Era Vulgaris for an Arctic Monkeys fan.

The first three songs are killer though, specially Feet Dont Fail Me, that shit is awesome.
