Yeah. NIN is Trent plus (potentially) any good musicians available at the time.

So happy about a new record. Anyone think it will be more of the tone of With Teeth or more darker in regards to his soundtrack work? I can't see him being all angry and depressed like he was in the 90's. He has a decent wife and I think two kids now.

Even the tone of With Teeth was pretty dark but much more anti-establishment than personally emotive. We are talking NIN so I don't see reflection on one of his kids' first encounter with a hummingbird turned in to song on the horizon but I would like to see some more personal introspection on the next record. Also, I know I'm grouping Year Zero in with this particular viewpoint since that was pretty much the last album I really spent some time with; the promise of new music is still exciting.

I think you're forgetting the part where Pearl Jam basically sucks and Backspacer is dogshit.

The single sounds like a Year Zero b-side, and I didn't think Year Zero was very good.
That chord structure in the chorus -- it's ripped straight off another song, Survivalism isn't it?

I guess this band doesn't do it for me anymore.
