Fair, but you presumably don't really know either of these people very well either. Everybody seems "under-nuanced" when all you know about them is the craziest shit they do that gets onto TV. And again, my reply was more to what read pretty clearly as a generalization in your language.

I understand Kanye is an entertainer. he takes it to the max. I just dont respect it. He has the ability to influence positively and he's not doing it. Cause ego.

Maybe. Maybe he's an infinitely worse one. But I don't doubt he's a more complex one either way. How couldn't he be? And while I don't think this ought to give one license to be hateful or discriminatory, I do think people have a tendency to disregard these complexities where their rivals (in all arenas but especially in those involving beliefs and ideals) are concerned, preferring instead to latch onto one-dimensional stereotypes that are all but psychologically impossible, often at the expense of reasonable communication. Whether Kanye really would have voted for Trump -- who knows. But his idea that the way forward is through communication is sound, and I think it's unfortunate that we live in a time where that constitutes sophisticated thinking.

Course, Obama did call Kanye a jackass after that Taylor Swift thing. Maybe he just really wants to make sure this president likes him.

I prefer these "original" versions in every case and sometimes even the demos. The first leak I got (not sure exactly which one it was cuz he was changing everything so much) totally hooked me b/c it was so stripped down and loose - that's the charm of Pablo to me.
