I am halfway through an Oasis doc (called Supersonic).

Need the subtitles on for sure.

Holy crap their lyrics are like 3rd grade nursery rhymes.

Watched the one on Jawbreaker last night. Cool doc but their music doesn't do much for me. So they were ahead of their time, "their time" being that awful late 90s pop punk emo scene? Big whoop.

Dude I love Jawbreaker. Really annoyed that people compare them to mid 90s punk. They had their own thing. There is a reason green day and offspring are punchlines now and Dear You makes cult classic type album lists.

Jawbreaker doesn't sound anything like that garbage.

Yeah you're smoking crack if you think Jawbreaker sounds like Fallout Boy.

I think the most recent music documentary I saw that I really liked was The Colossus of Destiny about the Melvins.

I dunno, that's what my little brothers listened to and they worship Jawbreaker.

As well they should. Shield Your Eyes, Ache, Bivouac, Kiss the Bottle. So many killer songs.

I thought that Slint doc that came with the box set a few years back was great. Ditto the Nina Simone movie.

Also, Some of Kind of Monster is crucial. But, A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica (the one where they're recording the Black Album) is WILD and fucking hilarious.

I'll always have a soft spot for the Pantera VHS tapes too, the Vulgar Videos. Those are just really dumb and fun.
