And now some more new stuff:

Another announcement from Constellation for Siskiyou's fourth album, coming four years after the third, on May 17. It's called Not Somewhere, and sees the project stripping back to original founder Colin Huebert and a number of guest musicians. Here's the opener, "Stop Trying":

This next project is Constellation adjacent as drummer Aidan Girt (aka 1-Speed Bike and member of Godspeed You! Black Emperor) is one half of it, with Eric Quach (Thisquietarmy) rounding out the duo. They're called Some Became Hollow Tubes and apparently released a two track digital album, In 1988 I Thought This Shit Would Never Change in January and also have an LP, Keep it in the Ground coming out June 21 on Gizeh Records.

Lastly, The Mike Smith Company have returned with Songs of the Mike Smith Company, a new album of Mike Smith's exotica compositions now with vocals! The whole thing can be streamed or purchased digitally on Bandcamp, though it says the album doesn't release until April 29, so there's probably a CD version coming out.

Jenny Lewis did not dissappoint.

Also Ty Segall and The Freedom Band: Deforming Lobes - Live is stellar. Albini in the mix. :hooray:

Listened to Ghosts of the Forest this weekend and liked it quite a bit. I enjoy Phish from time to time though my top complaint is that their songs lose focus far too often. By focusing on Trey’s guitar, this band remedies that.

The latest Strand of Oaks is sublime. Really focused and the MMJ guys support him so well.

Aldous Harding has a new album Designer, being released today I think

I'm loving this song off it, but the video puts me off for some reason

This is a level of snark I used to get so mad at, but there’s some pretty good takes in here even though I don’t mind Vampire Weekend.
