This is a really good album IMO. Up there just behind XTR...and Vanishing.

XTRMNTR, Vanishing Point, Evil Heat, and Screamadelica are all better than this one.

Evil Heat? Maybe I need to listen to that again sometime but I remember not been too impressed by it.

When Evil Heat came out I spent the first year over the moon about it just cause there was a new Primal Scream album and this was when they were one of my handful of favorite bands in the world. When the dust settled though, I realized that while it wasn't quite as brilliant as I thought it was at first, it was still an excellent record. Deep Hit of Morning Sun, Detroit, & The Lord is My Shotgun are all top tier Scream songs. It's too bad that this was the final chapter of a great run of records (Riot City Blues may be my least favorite album ever released by a band I legitimately loved).
